Jagnit Singh's critical condition
Famous Ghazal singer, Jagjit Singh is suffering from brain hemorrhage and his condition is very critical. He is now in the care of the Leelavati Hospital in Bandra.
Chitra Singh, the wife of Jagjit Singh is also Ghazal singer. On Friday last Shri Singh alongwith Pakistani Ghazal maestro Ghulam Ali are scheduled to perform their songs at Shanmukhananda Hall, Matunga. The performance was cancelled and has been admitted to Leelavati Hospital.
Jagjit Singh, a blood pressure patient, underwent a brain surgery. The cardiologist Ajit Menon informs that the condition is still serious and is under observation in Intensive Care Unit.
Jagjit Singh is the first Indian composer who used digital multi track recording for album with his wife Chitra Singh. His first entry was in a Gujarati film “Dharati Na Chhoru” by Suresh Amin. Today Jagjit Singh is a living legend. He has gifted his many melodious songs even after Malika Pukhraj, Begum Akhtar, Talat Mahmood, Mehdi Hassan.
Still Jagjit Singh's condition is critical. Dr Ajit Menon of Lilavati Hospital declares that there was a clot in his brain. The doctors wanted to decompress the brain for removing the clot. So the consulting neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange conducted the surgery late Friday night.The famous singer Ghulam Ali is always praying for him and hopes he will get recovery soon.
