Saif- Kareena wedding postponed
The cricketing legend, the India’s youngest test captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi passed away on the 22nd September, 2011 due to Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis which is a incurable lung disease. His body was laid to rest in peace in Pataudi village in Haryana with full Islamic rites. Villagers and the nation witnessed the last ritual and paid their last homage to this Ninth Nawab of Pataudi.
The Nawab who ruled the hearts of the people of India was carried to the ambulance for performance of last rites at his ancestral village. Sharmila(Ayesha) Tagore and Kareena Kapoor was seen during the procession with full of grief. They were seen at the balcony of their palace. The Chief Minister of Delhi Shrimati Sheila Dixit was also to pay her last respect. Sarod Maestro Amjad Ali Khan was also present along with other dignitaries. The “Tiger Nawab” was 70. His death was a major set back for the Saif- Kareena’s wedding ceremony which was scheduled to take place in February 2012. The date is now postponed. According to Nawab’s family no enjoyment programme will be held within the next one year. The plans for the wedding, therefore, has been postponed for one year. Sharmila Tagore and her daughter Soha Ali Khan are famous Indian actress, Saif Ali Khan is also an actor in Bollywood and the another daughter Saba Ali Khan is a jewellery designer. As soon as the news of the departure of Nawab of Pataudi has come out many of Bollywood and cricket personalities expressed their condolences through media. The fan followers of this royal family and the people of India has to wait for at least one year to celebrate the great wedding of Khan and Kapoor.
